Description

Strawberry Cottage Cheese Bagels offer a delightful twist on a classic. With a mix of creamy cottage cheese and the sweetness of strawberries, these bagels are not only easy to prepare but also make for a tasty breakfast or snack option. Enjoy the perfect blend of flavor and texture in every bite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup blended cottage cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons freeze-dried strawberry powder
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350℉.
  2. In a large bowl, combine blended cottage cheese, flour, baking powder, sea salt, freeze-dried strawberry powder, and brown sugar. Mix well with a silicone or wooden spoon, then use your hands to form a dough ball.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth, adding more flour as necessary to avoid stickiness.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts. Shape each piece into a ball, then flatten slightly. Use a rounded spoon or your finger to create a hole in the center, stretching it to keep the hole open while air frying.
  5. Brush each bagel with an egg wash on both sides.
  6. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper. Air fry the bagels for 6 minutes, flip them, and air fry for another 6 minutes, possibly in batches.
  7. Once done, allow the bagels to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Top with your favorite bagel toppings.

Notes

These bagels can be topped with cream cheese or fresh strawberries for added sweetness.
Store leftover bagels in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
For a more intense strawberry flavor, feel free to add more freeze-dried strawberry powder.
