Description

This Spicy Chimichurri Sauce with Jalapeño delivers a burst of flavor with fresh herbs and a kick of spice. Perfect for drizzling over grilled meats or veggies!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 jalapeño, roughly chopped (deseed if you don't want it as spicy)
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup parsley
  • 1 cup cilantro
  • 1 shallot, roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a high-powered blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until it reaches your desired consistency, whether chunky or smooth.
  3. Stop the blender occasionally to scrape down the sides for even mixing.
  4. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  5. Let the chimichurri sit for a few hours for enhanced flavor before serving.

Notes

This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Use fresh herbs for the best flavor and color.
