- 1 cup (242g) pumpkin puree
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- â…“ cup (79ml) buttermilk
- 2 cups (248g) all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups (255g) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×5-inch or 8×4-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
- In a bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and pumpkin puree. Then incorporate the eggs, pumpkin pie spice, salt, and baking soda, mixing until fully combined.
- Stir in the buttermilk and all-purpose flour until just blended. Fold in the chocolate chips and pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Optionally, sprinkle some extra chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes. It's done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool before removing it from the pan. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to one month.
