Description

This peach cobbler features irresistible flavor, simple prep with fresh peach slices, and a warm buttery topping, making it the perfect comfort food for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh peach slices peeled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt; cook over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until the sugar melts and the mixture is warm.
  3. Pour the melted butter into the bottom of the prepared baking dish without stirring it in.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth; pour this into the pan over the butter without stirring.
  5. Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter, including some juice, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Bake for 38-42 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly around the edges.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Fresh peaches yield the best flavor; frozen can be used in a pinch.
Letting the cobbler cool for a few minutes will help it set and make serving easier.
Pair with vanilla ice cream for a delightful dessert experience.
