Description

These Matcha Brownies combine rich flavors of white chocolate and matcha in a simple and delightful treat. Perfect for quick dessert cravings, they are easy to make with just a few ingredients, making them an ideal choice for home bakers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and white chocolate chips together until smooth. Stir in the matcha powder until well combined, then let it cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and kosher salt together.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture, mixing until everything is fully blended.
  5. Gently fold in the flour until there are no more streaks of flour visible.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  7. Drizzle the slightly cooled matcha ganache over the top of the batter.
  8. Bake for about 30 minutes, checking to see that the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them into squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
For a richer flavor, consider adding chopped white chocolate or nuts.
Adjust the amount of matcha powder based on your taste preference; less matcha for milder flavor.
