  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Whisk flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cornstarch in a medium bowl and set aside.
  2. Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer for about 5 minutes, until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, then stir in sour cream.
  4. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Shape the dough into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F when ready to bake.
  7. Roll dough to about 1/4 inch thick and cut out circles using a 3-inch cookie cutter.
  8. Place cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 8-9 minutes until barely baked.
