- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tbsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp corn starch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup halloween m&m's
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, corn starch, and baking soda.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until you achieve cookie dough consistency.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop out 1 1/2 tbsp sized balls of dough and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring space between each cookie.
- Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until golden, then press M&M's and additional chocolate chips into the tops immediately after removing them from the oven.
Notes
For a chewier cookie, slightly underbake them.
Make sure to use Halloween-themed M&M’s for a festive touch.
Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.
