- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tail on
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice from 1 lemon, about 3 Tablespoons of juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground or cracked pepper
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Combine garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss well to coat. Allow shrimp to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto metal or soaked wooden skewers and discard any leftover marinade.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the shrimp skewers for about 2 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Remove skewers from the grill and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
Soaking wooden skewers prevents them from burning on the grill.
For extra flavor, consider adding herbs like parsley or cilantro in the marinade.
