Description
Enjoy the mouthwatering taste of grilled corn on the cob, featuring rich butter and seasonings. This simple recipe offers a delightful summer dish that’s easy to prepare and perfect for sharing at gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 full-size corn on the cob (ears) – with or without husk
- ¼ tsp oil if using a griddle pan, otherwise optional
- 30 g butter or dairy free alternative
- seasoning salt/pepper/herbs/chilli flakes/etc
Instructions
- Prepare all butters and seasonings ahead of time.
- If the corn has husk intact, peel back and remove all internal silk and tassels to expose the kernels.
- Pre-heat your grill or griddle pan to a high heat.
- If using a griddle, lightly brush it with oil. For BBQ or grill, oiling the corn surface is optional.
- Place the cobs on the grill or in the griddle pan.
- Turn the corn frequently until it’s a deeper yellow color, ensuring it remains juicy with slight charring, cooking for a maximum of 8 to 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately with your favorite butter and seasonings.
Notes
For extra flavor, try different butters like garlic or herb butter.
Make sure not to overcook the corn; it should remain juicy.
Using a barbecue or grill gives a smokier flavor to the corn.
