Description
Fig and prosciutto crostini offers an irresistible flavor combination with sweet figs, savory prosciutto, and creamy Gorgonzola. Perfect for entertaining or a quick snack at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons pistachios, toasted
- 1 small baguette, cut into 1/2" slices
- 6 slices prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise
- 6 large figs, cut into slices
- 4 ounces Gorgonzola cheese
- 2 tablespoons honey
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
- Roughly chop the toasted pistachios, then place them in a sauté pan over medium heat. Toast until fragrant and lightly golden brown, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Set aside to cool.
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven for 6-7 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Remove and allow to cool for a few minutes.
- On a platter, place the toasted crostini. Top each piece with a half slice of prosciutto, 3-4 slices of fig, and approximately 1/2 tablespoon of Gorgonzola cheese. Drizzle honey over the top and sprinkle with the toasted pistachios.
Notes
The pistachios can be substituted with walnuts for a different flavor.
Use fresh figs for the best taste, but dried figs can work in a pinch.
Make sure to monitor the baguette closely while toasting to avoid burning.
