Description

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 5 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 34 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 8 oreo chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed into fine crumbs

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened butter, cream cheese, and vanilla using a stand mixer or handheld mixer on medium-high speed for 2-2½ minutes until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Reduce the mixer speed to medium-low. Gradually add the powdered sugar 1 ½ cups at a time, alternating with 1 tablespoon of heavy cream after each addition. Add more powdered sugar if needed to achieve the right consistency.
  3. Mix until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
  4. Gently fold in the finely crushed Oreos. Ensure the crumbs are fine, especially for piping.
  5. If not using immediately, store in the refrigerator until needed. Before use, let it sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes and re-whip for 15–30 seconds until fluffy.

Notes

Ensure butter and cream cheese are at room temperature for easy mixing.
For a firmer texture, refrigerate the frosting before using.
Use finely crushed Oreos to avoid clumps in the frosting.
