- ¼ cup (31 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 5 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1 cup (8 ounces) chicken broth
- ½ cup (119 g) heavy cream
- ¼ cup (25 g) finely grated parmesan cheese
- 1–2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice, optional, to brighten flavor
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Dredge the chicken in flour to coat evenly.
- Add chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping any brown bits from the pan.
- Stir in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese, and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
- Optional: Add fresh lemon juice for extra flavor.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
