Description

Creamy Garlic Chicken Breasts offer a delightful mix of tender chicken and a savory garlic cream sauce. Perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner, this recipe is simple to prepare and uses wholesome ingredients that will please the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup (31 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 5 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (8 ounces) chicken broth
  • ½ cup (119 g) heavy cream
  • ¼ cup (25 g) finely grated parmesan cheese
  • 12 teaspoons fresh lemon juice, optional, to brighten flavor
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Dredge the chicken in flour to coat evenly.
  4. Add chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping any brown bits from the pan.
  8. Stir in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese, and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
  9. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
  10. Optional: Add fresh lemon juice for extra flavor.
  11. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken breasts for a few hours before cooking.
You can substitute chicken broth with vegetable broth for a lighter option.
Serve this dish over pasta or rice for a complete meal.
