Description

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Unfold 2 thawed sheets of puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Roll out the puff pastry to even out the creases.
  3. Pour half of the melted butter onto each puff pastry sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula or brush.
  4. Sprinkle half of the garlic salt, white cheddar cheese, and parmesan cheese onto each pastry sheet.
  5. Cut the pastry into 3/4" wide strips using a pizza cutter. Twist each strip and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk the egg and water together. Use a pastry brush to apply the egg wash over the puff pastry strips.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

These twists can be customized with different cheeses to suit your taste.
For extra flavor, consider adding herbs or spices to the cheese mixture.
