- 2–4 tbsp heavy cream or milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan, ensuring it fits properly in the oven.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, blend melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients and fold in diced apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for about 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before serving, then drizzle with a glaze made from powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cream or milk.
Notes
For a deeper apple flavor, consider using a mix of sweet and tart apples.
