Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar lightly packed
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 small apples, small diced
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits (8-count), each cut into about 4-6 pieces
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 3–4 tbsp brown sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a 9×9 inch baking pan. Stir well to mix.
- Add the diced apples and stir until they are evenly coated with the mixture. Optionally, add a pinch of sea salt.
- Fold in the biscuit pieces gently, coating them with the apple and cinnamon mix, focusing on coating the tops well.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown. Ensure the center of the biscuits reaches 177°F when tested in several spots.
- After baking, remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes. While cooling, mix softened cream cheese with brown sugar and milk until smooth, then drizzle over the biscuit bake.
- Serve warm with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
Notes
Ensure the biscuits are cooked through by checking the center temperature.
Feel free to add more cinnamon if you enjoy a stronger flavor.
Can serve with ice cream for extra indulgence.
