Description

This Air Fryer Sweet and Spicy Salmon is known for its irresistible flavor profile. With simple prep, including salmon filets, brown sugar, and spices, it delivers a quick and healthy dinner option that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound salmon, (4) 4-ounce filets
  • 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel, then brush about 1/2 teaspoon of spicy brown mustard onto each filet.
  4. Sprinkle a quarter of the spice mixture over each salmon filet, then let them rest for about 10 minutes before cooking.
  5. Arrange the salmon in the preheated air fryer, ensuring each filet has about an inch of space around it. Cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the salmon reaches 135 degrees F.
  7. After cooking, remove the salmon from the air fryer and place them on a plate. Cover with aluminum foil while cooking any remaining filets.
  8. Garnish the salmon with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust spices to preference for heat.
Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer for even cooking.
Serve with a side of vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
