Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 pounds salmon fillets boneless, skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
- Chili crisp oil (optional) for drizzling
- Toasted sesame seeds (optional) for garnish
- Sliced green onion (optional) for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, add the salmon pieces and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, and brown sugar. Sprinkle this seasoning over the salmon, then gently toss until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. Cook in batches if needed.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
- Remove the salmon bites from the air fryer and drizzle with chili crisp oil, if desired.
- Serve immediately, garnished with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Optionally, serve over rice.
Notes
Make sure to cut the salmon into uniform pieces for even cooking.
For a spicier kick, add more chili powder or your favorite hot sauce.
These bites are excellent fresh but can be reheated quickly in the air fryer.
