Ingredients
Scale
- 2 slices bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
- 1 tablespoon softened butter or mayo
- 2–3 slices cheese (sharp cheddar, American, provolone, Swiss, gouda, or a combo)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 370°F for about 3–5 minutes.
- Spread softened butter or mayo on one side of each bread slice. Place one slice butter-side down and layer cheese on top, leaving some space at the edges. Top with the second slice, butter-side up, and gently press together. Secure the sandwich with a toothpick down the center.
- Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 370°F for 4–5 minutes. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted. Adjust cooking time based on the type of bread used.
