Description
These Valentine’s Day Truffles are a sweet treat made from vanilla Oreos and cream cheese, coated in white chocolate. Perfect for celebrations, they’re easy to make and irresistibly delicious!
Ingredients
Scale
- 36 vanilla oreos about 15 ounces
- 1 8- ounce block cream cheese softened
- 14–16 ounces white chocolate melts *see notes
- red oil-based food coloring optional (or powdered)
- sprinkles optional
Instructions
- Prepare a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and set aside in the freezer or fridge.
- Place Oreos in a food processor and blend in 10-second increments until finely crumbled.
- Transfer the cookie crumbs to a mixing bowl, add softened cream cheese, and mix until fully combined, preferably by hand.
- Using a 1.5-tablespoon cookie scoop, form the mixture into smooth truffle balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes or refrigerate for an hour.
- Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl at 20-second intervals, stirring in between, or use a double boiler until smooth.
- If coloring the chocolate, add oil-based food coloring gradually after melting to achieve your desired shade.
- Dip each truffle in the melted chocolate using a fork, ensuring it’s fully coated, and place back on the baking sheet.
- For additional decoration, chill for about 10 minutes and then drizzle or sprinkle as desired while the chocolate is still wet. Allow the chocolate to set for about 2 hours.
Notes
Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
Use oil-based food coloring to prevent the chocolate from seizing.
Chill the truffles adequately to maintain their shape before dipping.
