Description

These Valentine Strawberry Cake Truffles are a treat for any lover of sweets. Made with strawberry cake mix and cream cheese, these delicious bites are easy to prepare and perfect for sharing on special occasions or simply to satisfy your sweet tooth. A delightful blend of flavors awaits you!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 15.25 ounce strawberry cake mix
  • 8 ounce block cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • ⅓ cup cream cheese chips, roughly chopped
  • 2 10 oz bags Ghirardelli vanilla melting wafers
  • ½ cup Wilton pink candy melts
  • ½ cup Wilton bright pink candy melts
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. Heat treat the cake mix to eliminate bacteria before use.
  • Spread the cake mix on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack once removed from the oven.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a mixer until smooth and creamy while the cake mix cools.
  • Fold the cooled cake mix into the cream cheese using a spatula, then mix thoroughly with the hand mixer until achieving dough consistency.
  • Incorporate the cream cheese chips into the mixture until evenly distributed.
  • Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Use a 1½ tablespoon cookie scoop to portion the dough, rolling each portion into a smooth ball. Allow to rest for about 15 minutes.
  • Melt the vanilla melting wafers using a double boiler or microwave until fully melted, stirring as needed to maintain consistency.
  • Dip each dough ball into the melted wafers using a fork, allowing excess coating to drip off before placing on the baking sheet. Space them 2 inches apart. Add sprinkles on half of the truffles before the coating dries.
  • Melt pink candy melts in small piping bags, then drizzle over the remaining coated truffles.
  • Let the truffles set completely before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is completely softened for easier mixing.
You can adjust the flavor with different melting wafers or sprinkles as desired.
Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for freshness.
