Description

These Valentine Chocolate Covered Pretzels are a delightful and easy treat. With their adorable sprinkles and rich chocolate coating, they are perfect for kids and any special occasion, making them an irresistible snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (226g) semi-sweet or white chocolate (two 4-ounce bars), finely chopped*
  • 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil or coconut oil
  • 4 cups pretzels
  • optional: sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  • Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. If using a microwave, combine the chocolate and oil in a heat-proof bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each until fully melted and smooth.
  • Dip each pretzel into the melted chocolate and lift it using a fork. Tap the fork on the bowl's edge to let excess chocolate drip off. Use a toothpick to slide the pretzel off the fork onto the prepared baking sheet. Add sprinkles if desired while the chocolate is still wet. If there's leftover melted chocolate, you can drizzle it on the coated pretzels using a squeeze bottle.
  • Chill the pretzels in the refrigerator for about 20–30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set. Once set, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Notes

Feel free to use either semi-sweet or white chocolate depending on your preference.
These pretzels can be decorated in many ways for different occasions—get creative with toppings!
