Description

These Strawberry Shortcake Oreo Balls combine the sweet flavors of golden Oreos with cream cheese and freeze-dried strawberries. Perfect for a quick dessert or party treat, they are easy to make and guarantee smiles with every bite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 golden oreo cookies finely crushed (15.25 oz pkg.)
  • 8 oz. brick cream cheese softened
  • 1 lb. almond bark candi-quik, melted
  • 12 oz freeze dried strawberries finely crushed

Instructions

  • Crush the Golden Oreo cookies using a blender, food processor, or by placing them in a sealed bag and smashing with a meat mallet. Stir the mixture intermittently for even consistency.
  • Combine the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese until well incorporated.
  • Finely crush the freeze-dried strawberries in a blender or chop into small pieces. Mix them into the cookie mixture thoroughly.
  • Using a cookie scoop, portion about 1.5 tablespoons of the mixture and roll each into a ball. Place the balls on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  • Freeze the balls for 20-30 minutes before dipping in chocolate.
  • Melt the candy coating in the microwave for about 1 minute 20 seconds, stirring until smooth. Return to the microwave in short intervals if necessary.
  • Dip each ball into the melted chocolate and return them to the lined pan.
  • For decoration, mix pink or red food coloring into the leftover chocolate, then drizzle over each ball using a snipped plastic bag. Crush the reserved Oreo filling and sprinkle it over the top of the drizzled chocolate.
  • Once set, trim any excess chocolate pooled around the bottoms of the Oreo balls for a neat presentation.

Notes

For best results, crush Oreos in batches for a finer consistency.
Experiment with different chocolate coatings like milk or semi-sweet for varied flavors.
Ensure the almond bark is fully melted before dipping to achieve a smooth coating.
