Description
One Pot Ground Turkey Pasta offers a delightful combination of flavors with ground turkey, fresh spinach, and creamy goodness, making it a perfect weeknight dinner option that’s easy to make and full of comfort.

- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ yellow onion, diced
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 ¾ cups chicken broth, approx. ¼ cup more if needed
- 1–2 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp italian seasoning
- 14.5 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 8 oz uncooked pasta, we use medium shells
- ½ tsp each: salt and pepper
- 2 large handfuls baby spinach
- ½ cup grated parmesan
- ⅔ – 1 c heavy cream
- chopped fresh basil, for serving, optional
Instructions
- Heat a large sauté pan or shallow dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- Add olive oil and let it heat up.
- Sauté the onions for 3-5 minutes until slightly translucent.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
- Move the onions and garlic to one side. Add ground turkey, allow to brown, then break it into chunks.
- Cook until the turkey is no longer pink and reaches an internal temperature just under 165°F.
- Stir in tomato paste and heat for about a minute.
- Lower heat to medium and add tomatoes, broth, balsamic vinegar, uncooked pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is just under al dente.
- If the liquid is absorbed too much, add more broth as needed.
- Stir in heavy cream, parmesan, and spinach, ensuring parmesan melts and spinach wilts.
- Remove from heat and top with chopped basil. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, feel free to include other vegetables such as bell peppers or mushrooms.
If you prefer a thicker sauce, reduce the amount of broth added while cooking the pasta.
