Ingredients
Scale
- 4 oz baking chocolate
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan by lining it with foil and spraying it with cooking spray.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the baking chocolate and butter. Heat on HIGH for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until the chocolate is smooth. Stir in sugar until well combined.
- In the bowl, add eggs, vanilla, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, ¾ teaspoon of cayenne pepper, salt, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Mix well until combined.
- Gently fold in the flour and mini chocolate chips until the mixture is just combined.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing into squares. For the topping, whisk together powdered sugar, ¼ teaspoon of cocoa, ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Sprinkle over the sliced brownies.
Notes
Ensure the brownies cool completely for easier slicing.
Adjust the cayenne pepper to your taste for a spicier or milder flavor.
