Description

Savor the creamy perfection of Easy Caramel Chocolate Mousse Domes. These delightful treats feature rich chocolate and a touch of salted caramel, making them ideal for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz quality chocolate semi-sweet or dark chocolate
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter can substitute with vegan butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream coconut cream for dairy-free option
  • 1 tbsp gelatin consider agar-agar for vegetarian option
  • 1 cup granulated sugar coconut sugar for less refined sweetness
  • 1 tsp sea salt fleur de sel for gourmet finish
  • 1 cup fresh berries for vibrant presentation
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings for elegant finish

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler, stirring gently until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  • Whip the heavy cream in a large mixing bowl until soft peaks form. Gently fold it into the cooled chocolate mixture.
  • Caramelize the granulated sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat until it reaches a golden amber color. Add in the butter and heavy cream, stirring continuously until smooth, then stir in the sea salt.
  • Spoon the mousse into dome molds, creating an indentation in each. Fill the indentations with salted caramel and cover with more mousse. Chill for at least 4 hours.
  • Unmold the chilled mousse domes by gently pressing on the sides and serve chilled.
  • Optional: Garnish with fresh berries or chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

Let the mousse chill long enough to set, ideally overnight for the best texture.
