  • 6 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ¾ cup yellow mustard
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs evenly on both sides.
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the thighs skin-side down until golden and crisped.
  3. Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker, skin-side up.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together mustard, honey, brown sugar, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  5. Pour the sauce around the chicken, avoiding direct contact with the skin to keep it intact.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours until the chicken is tender.
  7. Uncover the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.

Notes

Feel free to use boneless chicken thighs for a quicker cooking time.
For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning.
