Description

These Crispy Roasted Parmesan Cabbage Steaks with Garlic Herb Butter are packed with flavor and easy to prepare. Perfect for a quick dinner or a healthy meal, they’re a delicious way to enjoy vegetables!


Ingredients

  • 4 cabbage steaks
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups grated parmigiano reggiano cheese
  • 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Wash and vertically slice the cabbage in half. Cut 'steaks' from one half about 1 inch thick, ensuring they hold together through the stem.
  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, 1/3 cup grated Parmesan, garlic, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Brush this mixture on both sides of the cabbage steaks.
  • Use the remaining Parmesan to create piles on the baking sheet, one for each steak (about 1/3 cup each). Then, position each cabbage steak on top of its cheese pile.
  • Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese becomes brown and crispy.
  • Before serving, drizzle with balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

The cheese can be adjusted to your taste for a richer or lighter flavor.
Ensure the cabbage steaks are thick enough to hold during roasting.
