Description

This creamy cucumber salad is a delightful blend of fresh ingredients and flavors. With a simple preparation, it’s the ideal side dish for any meal, perfect for quick dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large English cucumbers (thinly sliced)
  • ¼ red onion (thinly sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, red wine vinegar, chopped dill, sugar (if using), and garlic powder until well blended. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Add thinly sliced cucumbers and red onions to the bowl and gently stir to coat with the dressing.
  3. Serve right away at room temperature, or chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour for enhanced flavors.

Notes

For a lighter option, reduce the amount of sour cream and mix with yogurt.
