Description

Experience the rich flavor of this homemade creamy Alfredo sauce. With simple ingredients like butter, cream, and cheese, it’s perfect for a quick dinner or a comfort food favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • up to 1/4 cup hot milk (optional) or pasta water
  • 1 pkg fettuccine noodles – cooked to package directions
  • freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the minced garlic. Let simmer for about a minute.
  • Pour in the cream and half and half, whisking until blended and gently simmering.
  • Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Incorporate the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt slowly while stirring continuously.
  • Once the cheese has fully melted, gradually whisk in the hot milk or pasta water to achieve your desired sauce thickness.
  • Combine the sauce with the cooked fettuccine noodles and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, reduce the amount of hot milk or pasta water added.
Feel free to adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
Freshly chopped parsley adds a nice touch of flavor and color.
