- 1 tsp garlic minced
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup half and half
- 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
- up to 1/4 cup hot milk (optional) or pasta water
- 1 pkg fettuccine noodles – cooked to package directions
- freshly chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the minced garlic. Let simmer for about a minute.
- Pour in the cream and half and half, whisking until blended and gently simmering.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Incorporate the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt slowly while stirring continuously.
- Once the cheese has fully melted, gradually whisk in the hot milk or pasta water to achieve your desired sauce thickness.
- Combine the sauce with the cooked fettuccine noodles and garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, reduce the amount of hot milk or pasta water added.
Feel free to adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
Freshly chopped parsley adds a nice touch of flavor and color.
