These Bacon Wrapped Smokies are the ultimate crowd-pleaser! With their crispy bacon and a sweet and spicy glaze, they make for an easy party snack or a delightful appetizer that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sliced bacon cut into thirds
  • 1 lb little smokies
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a large rimmed baking tray with foil. Lightly coat the foil with cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cayenne pepper, paprika, and black pepper. Set aside.
  • Wrap a piece of bacon around a little smoky and secure it with a toothpick. Repeat this process for all the smokies.
  • Sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture over the bacon-wrapped smokies on the tray.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, then flip each smoky, add the remaining brown sugar mixture, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the bacon crisps.

Notes

For extra heat, consider increasing the amount of cayenne pepper to taste.
These smokies can be made ahead of time and warmed up just before serving.
Experiment with different spices in the brown sugar mix for unique flavor variations.
